There is a Hadith Sharif to which the Beloved SAW has said:
“Surely everything has a heart, the heart of the Holy Qur’an is Surah Yasiin. I would love it if it were in the heart of my people” S.Muhammad Ali Sabuni, Tafsir-al-Sabuni Vol.2
The reason of the above is to provide a context to understand the status of Awliya-Allah. The Hadith has said everything has a heart, although the Holy Qur’an is not infact a human or jinn, yet it has a heart. We now can understand everything in the universe and everything creation both living and non-living has a heart as stones, trees etc would send salutations to the Beloved SAW and the food which He SAW would eat, would glorify Allah SWT whilst He SAW would be eating it. All of which is narrated in sound Hadiths by Ibn Kathir.
What we realise is the status of the Beloved SAW. The Awliyah-Allah have one door of Prophethood open to them and they too, are able to do something similar. A Wali-Allah is able to make a heart of anything do the Zikr-Allah – whether it is a mureeds heart, a table, stone, water etc. A Wali is able to make the Qalb of everything come alive in the Zikr of Allah SWT. The environment which surrounds a Wali-Allah becomes alive in the remembrance of Allah although it needs specific ears in order to be able to hear. Try to think of it as a magnet attracting other magnetic sources, a positive attracts negative, if rubbed together long enough, the negative also in turn becomes, if correctly done positive. Subhan’Allah.
Therefore before you start practising Qalbi Zikr, it is important that you are a mureed of a Kamil Wali so he is assists you and grants you permission for this type of Zikr. He will teach you how to perform it correctly and take you from one stage to another. Without permission it is difficult to achieve a Living (Qalb) Heart I.e. a heart in constant remembrance of Allah.
You can get permission via e-mail or phone. You will be asked to affirm the declarations of faith and forgiveness outlined in the steps below. The affirmations are to be read in Arabic. For those who cannot read or understand Arabic, transliterations have been included along with their English translation.
